Thanks to my lovely sister, Manda, I have a blog now. I suppose I should do a little introduction…but really, if you’re reading this, it’s probably because I linked you here to keep up with me in yet another way. So you SHOULD know me well enough by now!
I’m Angieleigh…or better known as Angel or Angie. I dislike the name “Angie” intensely, but my friends and family insist on calling me that anyway. I’m thirty three years YOUNG as of this posting. I was born on August 07,1975, which makes me a Leo. I definitely live up to my astrological sign.
I have spent the last nearly fourteen years of my life married to the love of my life. How he puts up with me, I have no idea, but I’m thankful he does. We have two little boys who make our lives all the better. AJ is twelve and is Autistic. Noah is nine and is just as much of an obstinate person as his mother.
I’m extremely close to my mom, who is most definitely my heroine. You’d have to know her to understand why that is. Let’s just say that anyone who can survive what she has and keep a positive outlook on life in general deserves heroine status in my book.
Speaking of books…I absolutely LOVE to read. I’ve been reading since I was four years old and can nearly always be found with a book in hand. Jude Deveraux and Julie Garwood are two of my absolute FAVORITE historical romance writers. Lavyrle Spencer and Debbie Macomber capture my attention with contemporary romances. As for as series goes, Nora Roberts has long been one of my favorites, but her “Three Sisters Trilogy” made me stop and take a look at myself. I’m hopelessy addicted to the Harry Potter series and wish that Ms. Rowling would reconsider her decision to not add anything else to this captivating series. I had sworn I’d never read the Twilight series and even made a pact with Manda that we’d never give in as our friends had done. Yeah, that didn’t last long and I’m hopelessly addicted to that as well. There’s just something about a sparkly vampire…
I’m also hopelessly addicted to music. Most of the time I can be found listening to the latest Britney Spears CD or perhaps David Cook or my shamless fascination with Kid Rock. Manda has me addicted to Within Temptation and Nightwish…and possibly Josh Groban as well. I honestly can say I have very eclectic tastes in music. I can be headbanging to Godsmack one minute, chair dancing to Brit the next. I also may have a slight fascination with 80’s rock…Motley Crue, Guns N Roses (Don’t even get me STARTED on the intro for Sweet Child O’ Mine!!), Poison, Warrant…oh yeah.
As you can see, I’m easily distracted and can go off on long tangents about anything and everything. If you’ve managed to get this far you deserve a cookie.
Mmmmmmm, cookies…
